The Much Hon. Louis Barratt, Baron of Irrus

Louis Allan Barratt (b. July 8th 1999) is a British-born lawyer, businessman and Irish Feudal Baron.

Having gained a Bachelor’s in Law from York St John University and a Master’s of Laws from the University of Law, Barratt is also the current holder of the Lordship and Barony of Irrus in Ireland.

Born in Leeds and educated at Notre Dame Catholic Sixth Form College, Leeds, he graduated from York St John University with a Bachelor of Laws in 2022, switching degrees from International Development at the University of Leeds.

Barratt embarked on the re-establishment of the Irish Clan, Clan Barrett, in October 2023, assuming the position of Brehon and Chief Regent of the Name. Barratt cited his position as Baron of Irrus as the authority for re-establishing Clan Barrett.

Notably, he also initiated the Manorial Register, a website dedicated to registering the ownership of Manorial titles, following the acquisition of his own Lord of the Manor title in 2023.

Beyond his commercial endeavors, Barratt has authored works on topics ranging from the history of the Barretts to adverse possession and manorial titles. In 2023, he assumed a coat of arms with the motto “Honor Virtus Probitas,” translating to Honor, Virtue, Integrity, reflecting his commitment to heritage and principles.
